Judy Conlan is an artist who has spent the past 30 years teaching high school art. Over that time, she used her summers on Cape Cod to pursue her own painting and also did house portraits in watercolor during the year. Now retired and residing in Maine, Judy is able to fulfill a life long dream of concentrating on her own artist expression. Her present work focuses on the use of color relationships in everyday places that are familiar to her. She is exploring a variety of media including oil, acrylic, and watercolor to find what best meets her expressive needs.
Judy is a graduate of Massachusetts College of Art. Since then she has studied at Worcester Art Museum, University of Massachusetts, Clark University and done graduate work at MassArt. She currently resides with her husband in Bath, Maine.
