Bath, Maine artist, Livy Glaubitz, specializes in watercolor and pen and ink drawings.
She has been inspired by her father who sometimes accompanied her on painting expeditions. Her watercolors and drawings reflect her travels and interest in the out-of-doors. After living in New Jersey most of her life, Livy moved to Maine where she continues to enjoy painting local architecture and scenes.
She has exhibited at The Medical Center at Princeton, The Princeton Hospital Fêtes, Pennington Day and Lawrence Arts Council exhibits, and been in both juried and members’ shows of The Garden State Watercolor Society, of which she is a member. She also has had solo shows at The Present Day Club, Border’s Books, The Queenstown Gallery, Orpha’s Coffee Shop, the Mercer County Library in Hopewell Township, and Triumph Brewing Company. She received Honorable Mention in the First Annual Fall Juried Show at The 1860 House in Montgomery, the Nummie Warga Award (first place) in the 2001 Garden State Watercolor Society’s Annual Juried Exhibition, and first place in the Small Works Show at The Arts Council of Princeton, 2003.
Livy is a retired third grade teacher and a former TCNJ adjunct and board member of the GSWS. She also belongs to The Chocolate Church Arts Center, The Kennebec Art Club, The Five Rivers Arts Association and has exhibited in The Chocolate Church Juried Show in 2008.
