Virginia Jarvi is currently a student at USM, studying art and classical studies, fulfilling a lifelong dream to pursue art. “Figurative work has always captivated me, and as co-owner of the Richmond Sauna (a local finnish sauna retreat) the inspiration of the human form is always close at hand. Using charcoal, pen and ink wash I bring to life the landscape of the human body”. A recent exhibition of drawings was presented at the Portland Gay Pride 2008 festival. Paint Bath 2008 is this artist’s first experience of its kind.
